I’ve had my 50 lbs bow 1 1/2 years now. Was in great condition when I got it. It has held up well, shoots great, and has good speed, even with a dacron string, which is quieter. Regardless of the cheap accessories, it is definitely worth the price, and every bit as good as my more expensive bows.

I have two versions of this bow: a 25# and a 35#. The 35 is going to be my go-to and will be one of 2 or 3 bows that I keep out of my nine bows. I prefer bows of 58″-60″ and have become a fan of hybrid or reflex-deflex designs. This bow has a medium grip and is very light. I can’t speak to the accuracy of the poundage and I don’t draw 28″; probably more like 27. Both the grip and lightweight of the bow are comfortable for my old body and arthritic shoulders and wrists. BTW archery has helped me strengthen both. If you draw over 31″ I think you should try something a bit longer. I’m not sure Kainokai recommends a draw beyond 31. This is an attractive bow and seems to be very well made. I can’t say if it will please everyone but it is certainly worth a try .

I have purchased a number of bows over the years and I have to say this bow is pretty nice. To be clear this bow is not going to win you a gold medal at the Olympics. It might get you dinner if in a pinch. But or a day at the range just having fun with bare bow archery. This bow is almost perfect for the task.

I’ve shot hundreds, if not thousands of arrows through this bow now and I can honestly say for the price it’s an amazing bow. I’ve got a few bows that were alot more expensive from “better” makers but I’ve fallen in love with this thing. It has become my primary hunting bow, 45lb bow shoots 550gr arrows at arould 170 fps. Fantastic for the price!

Excellent longbow.Tillered perfectly. Its fast, accurate and quiet with string silencers. No handshock.Simple as that. Its just a great bow.I cut all my bows past center when I get them so that the arrow runs in line with the string when centered on the limbs.Makes them tons easier to tune as thats how a bow should be.It cannot be done by a manufacturer because of people shooting different diameter arrows.

Fantastic bow. Easy set up and tuning. Quiet shooter. Recommend purchasing a better string though.

First let’s start with the pluses, which WOULD have given this review five stars if it was not for other issues I will relate later in this review. Bought #35 draw, the bow is very light and very fast. Beautiful bow overall. NOW the minuses, as other people have commented, discard the bow string, the color marches the bow but use it to tie up packages. Dump the arrow rest padding and buy something more substantial, might as well just supply construction paper for arrow rest padding. I question if this bow is actually a recurve, strung it resembles a longbow, no real curve to the limbs once strung as seen with other recurve bows. Do not, DO NOT use the bow stringer, the thing is DANGEROUS, barely grips the end of the top limb. I successfully strung, unstrung the bow once with it, the second time the crappy rubber cap came OFF the limb (yes, I pressed it on as tight as possible) and the limb whacked me in the forehead. Raised a slight bump (applied ice) and bruised skin. THROW the stringer away and buy a good stringer. Another commenter wrote their stringer cap broke, so while the other accessories (bow string & padding), I mentioned may be a nuisance, and the bow is more of a long bow than a recurve bow, the
bow stringer is an outright MAJOR issue.
