We are using these for longbow field tip archery. The holes heal rather quickly as this point. The bottom has the metal pegs attached inside the body. You have about 4 inches sticking out. If the ground is soft enough you can just use that to secure the body. I have not found it easy to knock over with arrows even without using the long rods. Would recommend and would buy again.
