   Great piece of wood, I only wish it was a little wider, giving room for mistakes. If you don’t live somewhere that has hickory around, it’s worth it.

   Packaged well. The wood is good quality with nearly strait grain. The length makes building a bow of near any size easily possible. Its sealed in plastic to keep the moisture content consistent. One side was rough which was surprising because I guess I just expected all sides would be surfaced. I have the tools to surface it to dimension but some may not.

   The board I received has a lot of runout. It’s really not a very good board for a bow. The side with the longest straight grains had a knot, which is undesirable on the back of the bow. The corners were dinged because of poor packaging, and I did not receive the riser or backing initially even though I ordered the full kit.
