   I bought this bow this bow out of simplicity for harvesting tilapia and gizzard shad for bait without the need for a higher draw weight compound fishing bow. The bow string was damaged on arrival and the arrow roller/guide rest broke on the first shot to practice target. I bought a whiskerbiscuit style rest to replace that for future use. Contacted customer service about the bow string. They said to take it bow shop and they would replace it under warranty. I went to a bow shop in town who was very helpful and contacted customer service for the bow company. The bow company said they do not replace defective bow strings even if they are damaged/defective in the package on arrival. I could have easily ordered and replaced the string myself if they told me without that extra unnecessary step. It seems that you have to buy upgrades on everything on this bow yourself to make it half decent. Then customer service will not warranty anything defective. But will tell you bring it to a bow shop to fix it on your own time and money. We will see if after I replace the string if the rest of the bow will hold up hopefully. I have not even gone to go fishing with it yet with this many problems.

   Bow arrived in a damaged package. Upon opening and inspecting the contents, was missing a few minor pieces needed for assembly. Bow arms were scratched up. Item was advertised and sold as being “new” but was obviously previously used and returned. Easy enough to replace the bolt and washers, and I’m sure it will work for the intended purpose, but not very happy about being sold a previously used item and paying the new price for it.

   nice looking unit once put together. no instructions on how to put together other than picture on box and my unit did not go together as picture. had to use some engineering to put together. other than that it is ready to go fishing. nothing extra to buy, its all in the kit

   This is a great we’ll made product. Cajun is owned by bear archery so I was not surprised to see the high quality of this product. Goes together in about 2 minutes easy straight forward design. This bow also says it pulls at 45 lbs and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this bow actually pulls 50 pounds of draw weight

   I bought this bow in the spring to try bow fishing for the first time. On the first trip down the river I was able to get a nice long-nose gar. As soon as I got home I purchased an upgraded AMS reel to make the reeling much faster. You can hand reel the spool, but it is slower, so an upgrade is much more helpful. The bow is great. The finger savers are nice helpful if your spending the day bow fishing. The nock eventually broke off of the arrow after about twelve trips down the James River, but that was due to a lot of abuse. This bow is nice and light and not too long compared to similar versions of other brands. I also upgraded the arrow rest to an AMS enclosed rest because occasionally the arrow would fall off of the side and I would have to use my finger to hold it in place until I was ready for a fish. An enclosed arrow rest allows you to take your finger off of the arrow and is much easier when on the water all day. I would suggest this bow to anybody who is interested in trying bowfishing for the first time. It has everything you need for the first time out: Bow, spool, string, and an arrow. You will not be dissappointed unless you want a faster reel when retreiving your arrows.

   Great bow, weak line. Snapped the line and lost my arrow on the 3rd draw and safety slide went with it. Worst feeling in the world at 2am when you’re deep in some gar and carp. Tried to tie the line to the hole in the back of my spare arrow since I didn’t have spare safety slides but the line snapped on the first release. Luckily I found it the next day. Found some 400lb Spectra line for $12.95 and a bag of safety slides/screws, etc for around $10 on gosszy.com. Got some tru glo arrows at academy to have extra. Hopefully I won’t be losing any more.

   The bow is excellent, the only issue is the arrow. When you use the quick release option on the tip, it doesnt tighten again. The prongs will move forward and make it hard to catch the fish. It doesnt lock in the down position. Other than that, it is a great bow, smooth pull back and the reel works great.

   This bow is amazing, I am an avid bowfisherman and have utilized multiple rigs throughout the years. This is by far the best, I may be biased at this point due to having used compound bows predominately but none the less this bow is incredible. It is not heavy, it feels great in the hand and the draw weight is perfect. This rig allows enough power to sink an arrow in a fish as well as shoot completely through depending on how far your draw it, all the while maintaining a smooth pull and straight shot. I plan to buy another one soon due to the high demand to shoot it from those who accompany me on outings, once they try it they don’t want to give it back!

    Bought this for fishing and hunting enthusiasts to goof off with on down time. Worth the money. Actually more enjoyable to use than fancier (more expensive) compound and reel bowfishing setups you’ll see, we did a side by side comparison with one. Due to inevitable limitations in bowfishing with range and visibility it works just as well as the fancy setup and feels much more authentic. Florida has clear spring water rivers and brackish flats (weather permitting) teeming with invasive fish that allow ideal shallow bowfishing conditions from Jon boat or sometimes from shore. You obviously might have less luck in places with less ideal water or fishing conditions.
