Very nice and quite simple to set all 3 vanes at once. Accuracy is good. I glued blazer vanes on 4 arrows and have been shooting them for awhile, probably 100 times each. Absolutely no failures or loose vanes! Accuracy is as good as any arrows I have used in the past. I fully intend to fletch my hunting arrows with the EZ fletch for this falls hunting.

So far I love the new jig. Definitely cut down on time, easy to use, and the helical has been consistent.

The idea of fletching 3 vanes at once seems like you’d sacrifice some accuracy but I’ve had excellent results. Super quick and easy. I think the true helical design makes a difference. It’s a pretty aggressive helical. Think it’s 3 degrees and it’s not just offset like most jigs do. I haven’t done and testing but to me it seems to really do a good job stabilizing the flight of my 550 grain arrow and makes the Bohning Blazer do the work of directing the arrow with a fixed broadhead attached.

8/2022 update…still the best option. I still wish it was metal. I have gotten better at using it and navigate through most of the cons. I use two at one time and am able to do one while the other dries. Upped my rating back to 4 stars.
9/24/2019 update: See below…I used to have 3 of these. I am down to one and it is not putting one of the fletchings on tight. So I need to replace it. Two of the others broke in a place that you can’t replace them. I broke the second one trying to repair it with a new part…snap! Don’t you think it is time to make this out of metal?!! It would solve 90% of my issues. which are…. 1. the plastic breaks…NOT cool for a $50 machine. 2. The glue sticks to the plastic…it will eventually even if you use wax. When you scrape it off…it warps the plastic so that the vanes don’t glue flush. When you have a great design…why not improve upon it? When another product comes out…I will abandon this asap!! But it still appears to be the most convenient thing to use. “The biggest enemy of being great…is being good.” Downgrading my review to 3 stars because this will be the 4th one I have bought.
Summary – I have bought 3 of these. I have fletched 100’s of arrows with them at this point.
Good:
1. Ease of use. All 3 fletchings at one time. And it is easy. Enough said!
Bad:
1. The glue will stick to the plastic. You can easily fight this by coating everything with bow wax. **That is a huge tip btw! But my first one, I scraped the glue off so many times that I wore down the plastic and eventually i messed up one of the wings.
2. Plastic construction – After I messed up one of the wings by shaving it away, I bought a replacement wing to replace it. Literally the first arrow I went to fletch was a repair of one vane. I put the arrow in and had to spin the nock a bit to line it up. I was forcing it around using the E-Z fletch to hold the nock. And I broke the plastic tab that holds the nock. No repairing that! So don’t do that. lol!
Bottom line – If you shoot a lot, you have to be able to fletch your own arrows. This is by far the easiest tool to get that done. I had a buddy say, “well I bought a really expensive metal fletching tool that is great”. I have used them too. This is way better. Doesn’t even compare in my mind. I have two of them. I fletch one arrow, by the time I get the second one done, the first one is ready for the next arrow. I initially gave this a 4 star rating, but I think if you have the best product in the category…you should probably get a 5 star rating. I think having a few metal parts would be a good idea. And maybe the ring that slides over the arrow that holds all the vanes in line could be a bit different (I can’t think how, but seems like an engineer could tweak it a bit with a better design). Overall, I love it. Makes fletching arrows a relaxing and enjoyable part of the experience.

On the plus side, this jig makes applying vanes super quick…when it works. Three vanes at once…when it works.
The problem I have is that it doesn’t work that well for me. I am not new to applying vanes, but I struggle to get all three vanes to adhere correctly. Plus, even though I only use the small amount of glue recommended by the vane manufacturer, the slots on this jig keeps getting crusted over, creating odd pressure points between the plastic of the jig and the rubber of the vanes. As a result, the jig does not consistently apply pressure to the vanes, and sometimes even pulls them off when opening the jig up. I have to routinely scrape out the residue, or use acetone to clean things off…and with the added time I have to spend on maintaining the jig, I could probably applied three vanes using a normal jig.
That all said, I love the idea of this product. And when it does work…it is a true treat to use. But when it doesn’t work just right…it is a pain.

If you’re a beginner or even experienced at fletching your own arrows this thing is fool proof.
