I didn’t know anything about crossbows. I did a lot of research and this seemed the best bang for my buck (literally). Assembly was pretty easy after watching videos on YT. The only complaint I have is the difficulty loading it. It takes a lot of strength. Luckily I’m pretty strong. Great quality product. It is amazing how powerful it is. I shot through a 2×4 piece of lumber for my first shot and it went right through. The arrow got stuck and broke but I was pleased with the sheer power. Other than the loading aspect, I’m very happy.

The reviews on this bow were the reason I bought it for my husband. He has always had a compound and wanted a cross bow for when he was just having one of those days. (The CB we had was his grandfather and time for retirement.) It came in and everything was perfect. Sighted in great with minimal adjustments. First time in a tree, the limb snapped. Contacted the manufacturer and they sent replacement limbs. Set it up again, and upon sighting in, the limb snapped again. My husband ended up just throwing the bow away.
It was decent priced for a reason and that reason is it’s a money wasted and a nice wall hanger.

Word of advice, the draw weight is 220lbs, you gotta have some strength to pull it back. Bought this for my wife, and I have to cock it for her, it’s that strong. This picture is from end of her first day shooting this! I’m buying me one!!!

Great little crossbow for the money. It took a bit to sight it in, but once I got it, it was always on target. This thing will take down any decent-sized game you put in front of it. The plastic buttstock isn’t the greatest, as I put a small crack in it the second time using the bow, but it did not affect the performance. If you’re looking to get into crossbows without spending a ton of money, I highly recommend this crossbow from Barrett.
