When set up properly you shouldn’t want anything more. after having my string and cable changed on my mathews I didn’t check to see if was set up properly (cocking just as you reach full draw) and broke whatever locks the rest up. I was shooting a starrflight FOB which is a replacement for fletchings and is very accurate and a conversation piece . The only catch (no pun intended ) is that the rest MUST be down before the FOB reaches it. Before having the bow worked on I have NEVER had the FOB hit the rest which shows the speed and reliability of the rest and To show what I think of the rest I ordered the exact same rest to replace the other one. Also with the upper bar installed and the rest cocked you can rotate the bow in any position without the arrow falling out of place.

Tried other rests. If installed right, this is hands down best for not disturbing arrow flight

I have used this for a couple of years now and it works great! Durable, accurate, silent and contains arrow well. The sticky padding was a little lame. Came apart when attempting to pull off the backing to install but other than that it works great!

I was hesitant to buy a drop down arrow rest, but I am very glad I did. I had using a Whisker Biscuit for years. I loved the ability to lock the arrow in the rest and not have to worry about it falling out. I bought this rest thinking it would help with not having to fletch my arrows so often. It does indeed help with that, since the arrow does not touch the rest once released. It’s quieter than the Whisker Biscuit when brawling back and releasing the arrow. This arrow rest also has the ability to lock the arrow in the rest, which I love. I just which I would have bought this before hunting season. Great product and worth the money spent!!!

I set this up on my Blackout NV-3 without issue, but after leveling it, finding centershot, adjusting elevation so the arrow is centered over the berger holes, and adjusting the cable to be timed with the witness/index marks, I kept finding the rest wouldn’t go down when I’d shoot, but would only go down once the arrow fletchings impacted it. This naturally caused wild arrow flight, a bit of frustration, and some damaged fletchings. After troubleshooting, contacting QAD directly, and troubleshooting more, I couldn’t find a solution. I finally found a video on YouTube where a guy had the same issue and shot a bare arrow through, proving the rest wasn’t going down without the fletchings smacking it. He found the solution was to time the rest so that it reaches max extension on full draw, not relying on the index/witness marks. They weren’t off by a country mile, but were off by about 1mm. That made all the difference in the world.
If you’re going to have witness marks on it, then make them accurate. Now I have to replace several fletchings. Fortunately now that it works, it works beautifully and I couldn’t be more pleased.
