The release was great until it was not. After a year of heavy use, the tension adjustment screw on the trigger bound up. It performed great overall, and maybe I exposed it to too much rain, but I still think the screw design is a flaw. The hex/Allen screw is tiny—finding the right tool to fit was a real hassle. A more durable and user-friendly design would make this a much better product.

Pulling back with your wrist is easier than using fingers or a tab, that’s just my opinion.
Nice and smooth release

If you own a compound bow, this is a must-have.

I’ve been shooting a bow for over 30 years. In this time I have seen many products come and go some worse than others.
Scott archery had a reputation being an industry leader, and I was a huge fan of their Silverhorn release The Scott Ghost had great reviews. Based on these positive product reviews, my personal experience and the company’s reputation for providing great products, I ordered this release, and anxiously awaited its arrival.
Upon initial visual inspection I was pleased with the item. It appeared to be of comparable quality and a similar design to the Silverhorn.
I setup this release up according to the manufactures instructions, adjusting the release for my preferred length setting. I nocked an arrow and attempted to draw my bow for a test shot, when the release failed at 3/4 draw, and my arrow was lost in my pasture.
Thinking that I may have induced the malfunction by accidentally depressing the trigger, I attempted a second test shot by placing my index finger behind the trigger using the back of my finger to push forward on the trigger to prevent the same error from reoccurring. I knocked another arrow came to fall draw and as soon as I removed my finger from the back of the trigger the release again malfunctioned sending the arrow into my target.
After eliminating any possibility of operator induced malfunction, I inspected the release to ensure that no debris or foreign material had found its way into the release during the packaging your shipping process. During my inspection of the release, I found that the release was easily popped open by just applying a little bit of pressure with my thumb on the hook.
I contacted customer service at Scott archery, and informed them of my experience with their defective product.
The Scott archery customer service representative assured me that they have never received a report of a defective release that had malfunction straight from the package.
Additionally I was instructed to mail the release back to them for warranty service. Anticipating that this process could take no less than two weeks to receive a functioning release, I decided to return this product to gosszy.com and ordered a different release from Carter.

THis release is one of the best wrist releases I have ever used. With easy to do length adjustment and release tension, I was able to make it fit and release exactly the way I like it. I like single clip releases, and this one is top of the line.
