Materials are great, and after adapting to the fact that you have to manually close it to attach it to the loop it does the job and it does it very well. Only reason I didn’t like it is that the head doesn’t rotate which twists your loop if you try to adjust it to your support point which in my case my hand is parallel to my face. Otherwise I would recommend it
***UPDATE****
Well, call it inexperience, but after returning this release and trying a couple of other ones I realized how good the Scott Archery Pursuit is. Starting with materials and build, the SA Pursuit looks and feels high end. I’m waiting to try the trufire bulldog , but will probably buy the pursuit again in a couple of months (or sooner if price goes down)
****UPDATE SEP-21****
I found a great offer for the Pursuit release on another site and decided to buy it again. After trying a couple of other releases I realized that this is the one that feels more comfortable, accurate and works best for me. One plus that is not mentioned a lot is the fact that it doesn’t damage the D-loop as fast as other releases. Very reliable, I would definitely recommended to anybody looking for a great mid-tier release

This is a great release I get an easier draw from this style of release. It fits my hands well and i have large hands. If you also or have shot recurve this makes for a similar draw. Tons of adjustability to the release mechanisim and trigger. The straps a little bulkier than my other 2 scott’s releases. If using for hunting know its louder than my inline index finger release from scotts which is close to silent. This has a very distinct mechanical/ metallic click. For target shooting not a concern , but for sound conscious bow hunters it may matter. Either way its by far the most well made release i have from scotts.

Don’t know why there aren’t better reviews on this release. I have been shooting for better than 30 years. For the price of this release I can’t find anything I would change, except maybe the buckle on the wrist strap, which is difficult to buckle up using only one hand, but no big deal. I prefer to use it without the wrist strap anyway. The trigger is as smooth as glass, and works flawlessly. It came adjusted perfectly out of the box. The ability to change it from a 3 finger to a 4 finger is a nice feature. Definitely a great value.

Purchased to replace standard finger release. Provides more control drawing the bow and arrow release.

After punching myself in the face repeatedly with this release (4 times and 4 lost arrows) I contacted Scott Archery directly, they told me that was a big problem and shouldn’t be happening they asked me to ship it to them which I did and paid for. They stated it would take a week to figure it out which I was fine with. A Week later they contacted me and said they are shipping it back today and so I asked if it had been checked and they stated it was checked at 100lbs. I was excited to receive the release and it came in today, the very first shot the release didn’t hold and punched myself in the face again and I’m sending it back now to get get a Carter Wise choice, save your money and don’t spend a dime with Scott archery unless you like losing arrows and punching yourself in the face repeatedly.
