It was time to retire my old Carter release. There were many choices but I chose to go with the Scott Sigma. I am very happy with my choice. The Sigma offered many forms of adjustment and I was able to get it dialed in for me in just a few shots. My shooting improved immediately. There are two adjustments on the trigger, one for the amount of travel and the other is the sensitivity. Also, the angle of the thumb trigger can be adjusted as well to bring the trigger closer to your hand or further away. Definitely an improvement over my old dinosaur. I love this thing!

This release is extremely comfortable in hand and can be adjusted to fit your hand (in trigger length, angle of the thumb barrel and for right or left hand use). The only gripe I have is it’s a little loud when cocking, especially for a hunting situation but can be quieted down with a little practice.

Love my Scott Exxus and not have the new version of it with the Sigma. If you like thumb releases these are the only release I will use. 5 para-archery gold metals can’t be wrong.
Great, fast shipping.

This thing took a long learning curve from a wrist strap release. At first was very afraid it would release upon draw but I haven’t had any accidental releases from it. Can get very sensitive, so be aware. Also a little bit “clicky” for hunting, but realistically. You make so much more noise than the release does.

Owned 2 of them. Shot my first one for a while then lost it unfortunately, but I liked it so much I bought it again. Love the extra feeling of security with the full circle for your index finger. The adjustable trigger reach, travel, and pull weight is fantastic.

I purchased this because my son has one and he highly recommended it. However, this one has a high, loud, metal ping noise when you ‘pull the trigger.’ My son’s release does not make the same noise. I am disappointed in this release and expected much better for the price. I hope I can return it or Scott Archery can tell me how to adjust it so it doesn’t make that noise.

I have now spent over a month with this release. VERY adjustable, solid and feels good in the hand. Getting it clipped on the dloop with 1 hand took a little getting use to it. I push the finger against the nock and it clips right in place. No issues with it at all. Ordering another for a back up now that I’m 100% comfortable with it.

Very solid release relative to items in the TruFire range / price point. That said, a couple of things could be improved in my opinion. First of all, as some other reviewers have stated, this thing is loud as releases go. When closed or triggered, the audible pop is not so different from snapping your fingers at full strength/volume. That’s a detractor for the hunting crowd, not so for the target crowd. Second, it would be nice if this release had somewhere to attach a lanyard. You can of course thread some paracord thru the index finger hole though it tends to get the way and can trigger the release accidentally if you’re not careful (has happened to me when target shooting).

Aesthetics wise, it looks incredible.
Very “crispy” feel and smooth when released.
Locking have to be done with a bit of pressure, but seems okay after a few shots. The click sound is very loud, not sure if suitable for hunting, but I using for targets, so for me it’s okay.
A lot of angles to tune to your own hand.
Some parts seems pretty rough finished. Gunmetal colour looks good.
