Works great and costs a fraction of other releases this style. Haven’t had any issues

For years I have used one of those releases that wrap around your wrist, that you operate with your trigger finger. I don’t like the way it’s always in the way when you try to use your hand, or banging the bow when you’re trying to be quiet, so I thought I would try this type of release for a change.
I like the way it feels, but if you line it up vertically alongside your cheek, as if you were pulling back on the bow string with your fingers, you twist the nocking loop, which doesn’t seem right for a smooth release. Also, releasing with your thumb is not a natural conversion for me, and several times I sent arrows down range unintentionally. I’m willing to admit that this may be a case of trying to teach an old dog new tricks, but as much as I wanted to like it, I did not.

I have been using a strap style bow release for years. I was very nervous to switch to a release that would not secure to my wrist . I borrowed my friends Whipper Snapper 4 Finger Release and I instantly felt a complete fit. Ergonomically this has to be the best release on the market. Keep in mind, this release needs to be used with a loop tied to your bow string.

Best bang for your buck for a release style that you’re new too don’t bother looking at any other brand until you know for sure a thumb release is what you want then yea go with a better one but don’t knock this one it’s just as good as a 200 dollar release. Spot hog is no joke their products are known to be hardcore tough and clean / crisp hence why they don’t push new products all the time when their 10 year old products still bring In Money design it right the first time and don’t battle yourself with your own products and it’ll continue for years and years

I think this is a great starter release for someone wanting to try a thumb button. Solid as a rock. Personally wish I would have gone with 3 finger instead of 4, but that’s on me. Can see me using this release for years to come.
