I knew that I would have to use some type of rope cocker on my new crossbow. I considered the Acudraw 52 from TenPoint but was a little leary of having something else mounted on the stock of the crossbow. I went to our local BassPro shop just to get my hands on a Wicked Ridge crossbow that had the Acudraw 52 on it. Glad I did because if you didn’t get the magnets lined up just right the handles would vibrate against the stock whenever you moved the crossbow and it made a lot of noise against that synthetic stock. Did some more research and found out that TenPoint offered the Acudraw rope cocker that you simply carry in a pouch on your belt. This is one nice tool to have. Makes consistent cocking of the crossbow a breeze, and that is usually where most folks have trouble with their accuracy, not getting the string pulled back evenly on both limbs. It still takes some effort to cock the crossbow but I couldn’t even do it without the rope cocker. They say it reduces the amount of energy required by 50% and I would agree with that. Love the fact that the rope retracts into the handles when you are done so it packs back into the pouch or a pocket quite easily.

This cocker is way better than fumbling with the stock cocking rope that came with my crossbow, and works perfectly. Don’t bother with the holster that comes with it – it comes open easily and I almost lost it on the way to my stand on opening morning. Throw the holster away and just keep it in your pocket.
Edit: It just broke the first time I used it since last fall, less than a year from when I purchased it. I’ve contacted Tenpoint to request a warranty replacement, so we’ll see what they do. The seller was very responsive to my inquiry.

Great accessory for anyone that has a tenpoint crossbow and the stock cocking rope. No more tangled rope to deal with every time I cock my crossbow. The retractable cable is great, very easy to use and quick to stow away on my belt with the included pouch that came with the cocking device, uses the same hooks and pulleys as the stock cocking rope but the ability to have this ready when I need it and then be able to store it away when I am done will make my hunts much more productive as I will no longer miss my shot due to the cocking rope being tangled up.I love how it slides together to make a nice compact package and then the inclusion of a belt pouch to keep it in with a silent magnetic flap to keep it secure and at the ready is also great.

This device worked great for one season (maybe 30-40 shots). I took it out this season and it broke on the third use at just shy of full draw (250 pounds). If I hadn’t been wearing carbon fiber reinforced boots, it would have broken a few toes for sure. Very disappointed considering the price of the product and just how handy it was.
