   I wanted to get back into archery and perused what gosszy.com had. Well, I chose this one and it was a good choice. Very well made, very well finished and is very powerful. 65lb. draw. Which means after I get some practice in, I’ll be able to use it for hunting. It comes in a draw string bag and could be carried while back packing. The only caveat that detracts from it slightly is that the bow rest broke with the first arrow and there are no sights. There are threaded mounting spaces for them but didn’t come with sights. So I will probably have to take it to an archery shop to see what they can do.
   Anyway, I really like it, it’s very well made and will last for years and years.

   This is a 1,675 word review, and may take 5 min to read, fyi, that’s about how long it took to type in too: I did a good bit of research for this style of bow. I own several types and setups. I enjoy all styles of shooting, target, tactical, hunting, instinctive, and a good mixing of non-conventional setups. I’ve been engaged, as many may be, by OEM’s for input, even so far as business model process’s which many, if any, may not be engaged (that’s a very different conversation). A single bottom-line, one liner summary could be, “for the price” it’s a good bow. But then, – it may have a few flaws one may be able to live with, (if not new to archery), if are even aware of (?!). This is definitely an activity in which no matter how much experience and what you think you know, – you always learn more. Moreover, there are many out there that think they do in fact know “it all”, – and they don’t as I’ve seen in OEM sponsored reviews which reveal the next level of “expert” that they are not, (not even the OEM that then refers back to R&D engineers for engagement, as happened with me, directly). Rather than re-summarize, or re-explain I’ll just comment some findings, and one “get’s it”, or not, – this is just a review, not a curriculum, or mentoring which OEM’s need to consider at this point, imo. So, the bow came, and not “boxed”, so the OEM packaging, as one may expect, “their box” was damaged. The instructions for a new person will be of questionable value, and for an experienced person, – same. The Riser powder coating is, in my experience (my qualifier for all here), thin. It is as well missing, not applied and in conspicuous locations (functional and aesthetic). There were chips which is surprised considering that it is powder coating. Also, it may get a hardened spray, granular, and in a place (e.g., the limb attaches), one needs to see of Aluminum, or Coating, so as not to dig into the limb (if matters to you?), – it does to me. So, you’ll be thumb nailing that off as well as may accomplish. Yes, the Sting Serving, or the Loops need to be reversed, (still), as commented for it to be on the lower half for Finger-shooters. You will *need to carefully, “weapons-grade-oil”/lube the Limb Bolts threads and work them i PRIOR to assembling. One Limb bolt had a, likely fraction of a mm bend in it to boot, so “wobbled” into the hole. Aside from Dry-threads. The Hex, Female Slot, in the Head of the Bolt is significantly off center and you’ll think you are screwing in a very bent bolt, – no, only slightly, est (?) 0.25mm ish. So, not a great scenario for a “Take-down” Product, that will wear these Frame Tapped Threads anyway, if really do take it down after use and use it allot. (A coil thread replacement can solve that long term wear issue, or other, or just get another? – Tough decision once have a Bow well fitted to you.) The Felt, – a noise element they added later, on the Limb-face to Riser Surface, will crush after the first assembly, I’ll expect that, some thin (thin) rawhide will need to be installed, or some Teflon wafer you make and just insert each time. Since this bow, (and asked first, got no good answer), is ( and all are +5Lb@28″ ?!?, all, just add 5lb), a 50lb bow, at 56″ inches, – it will be, likely impossible for some to initially “String”, and certainly not with the supplied stringer. You’ll need a friend. Also, *unwind the string, (it’s wound quite a bit anyway), and lower the Brace. I did my initial install at 7 1/25 inches and after 12 Arrows was stretched already to 6 7/8 inches, Brace Height, (normal imo and may stretch more, – I’ll see after 100 arrows, I do 50-100/day, in general). Any other method of stringing, – do as you like, – they were all “challenging” at 50lb with a stated 56″ length, first time stringing. Okay, so it’s now, limb attached, and strung. The top limb has an obvious twist the the Right, as it faces the shooter, and yes, well seated. I check the Tillering and is 1/16″ less top Limb. Weill it get worse? Who can know. Can it be corrected (this brand new bow that should arrive QA’d and correct), – well, anything can be adjusted in many ways, if know how to “live with it”. I got this for “instinctive” shooting, though have Recurve’s setup as many Compound Bow’s are, even with “tool less” sights, and rests, and/or other, – experimental, and Peep’s, too, etc. This was for “traditional”, off the shelf, and for my area, “hunting” (with a 35lb min, 40lb most all use, and so figured 45lb was to be fine; the largest game regionally can easily be taken with 35lb and the likely 20 yard shot, generally speaking, all caveats ack’d; this ain’t Elk area from 40 yards (?, really, can’t get closer?)… ). Therefore, and even with high-wind that day, at 15 yards, first shots, was grouping 1 inch, with typical strays, and yet all in an acceptable, if 3D, “effect vitals” grouping, the three 1 inch groups in finding my way first time with this. For me, instinctively, – immediately gelled, loved it. No chronograph ready, but, the “feel”, – shooting fast, and was moving the target block significantly which does not happen with some Compound Bows set at comparable Draw-weight, – measured at all Lengths to check, so shot at ~ 43lb draw-weight. At 28″, was consistent at 50+ (many bows have an “average” with a “mean” number, this was “50” or more but consistent, – there is a warming up of material and give in any flexible material with it’s own memory response. I felt, – if set up with sights, would be quite a target bow. 45lb draw is just a comfortable weight for me. Can I pull more, sure. But, will I enjoy shooting 50-100 arrows that way, – maybe not. 30-35lb is nice too and with a compound, easy to do. So, unless I forgot something, – lots there to consider and accurate as my experience. You experience will be the “luck of the draw” and to your level and need/want. I write in flow of thought, and keep all these balls in the air, in my mind to then jot down as first draft review, – what you see here done in “minutes”. I type fast. (Must be all the archery do… ?) I found nearly any arrow weight or length did well. However, the “shorter” ones “better” for me for what that may mean. However, the longer ones were just a “fine”, so, that’s that, on that. (In some areas, it’s not just draw-weight, but arrow weight and FPS speed.) So, now I unstring it, – again, for a new person, you may need a friend, – don’t risk injury and no, can’t leave it strung. Again, this 45lb was 50lb+@28″ and I think from what I see, read, just experienced, – how it is. To got a 40lb and in time, if ever hunting and being “checked” at underweight, – a dilemma. Bendy things, tend to “loose” “pull”, so, – that’s a gamble if keep and actually use your stuff. One can keep the Brace height as low as possible, to assist in stringing; and other I won’t get into. And, there are “safe” ways in field or at home if struggling, – but, another conversation. So, why comment it, I like it and want it. So, noted all this to the “seller”; that kindly and as per great as always gosszy.com policy, – just replace it. Now, that “exchange” stuff, tires me out and don’t engage it easily since the replacement could be issue laden too. However, while I did note my issues, in other, – my hope is, the next may be Okay; or the one after that. Why bother? Well, I take no pleasure in showing anyone a $8nn – $2nnn anything. I could if want one, but do not. For me, this, at this price point makes it very attractive for a number of reasons, – again, another conversation. What else? Oh the bag, – sure, okay if taking it apart, nice. The arrow rest? – Get what you like. For me, “off the shelf” means, since nice 9 oz rawhide contact cemented, and will be there “forever”. Other kinds of setup, e.g., Peep sight, Front Sight, Whisker Biscuit Rest, – for me, it’ll be a tack-driver at 20 yards. Might even get bored, funny to say. If one does off the shelf, it is “nominally” center shot/offset Riser and for me, if set up the arrow as level, meaning the Nock then for my arrow would be two eights of an inch, – shot with a straight flying arrow, (instinctive, gap, finger crawl, – even Trigger-release D-looped, – however you may like. Again, for me.) Did I paper tune it? No. So, obviously, those methods may change your Nock, and et alia. stuff for “you”. So, my hope is, the Replacement will just be the best version of this. Do “i” care of it was not Polished after Cast, then finely Powder Coated and Handled “gently” and assemble at least one-time, strung, the packed to go? No. Are the ones selling for 3-4x’s this price point handled that way? Moreover, the ones selling for 8-12x’s the pp here? Good question. I have notice that after one-exchange, you then just have to take the refund and repurchase, ?, so, – that’s changed; and, can’t speak to a human-being about any of this. So, again, hopefully, the replacement will be “mint”! Then, on to the next “GAS”-attack! (Apologies for typos and grammar, but, oh well.)

   L’arco è davvero ottimo. Forse un po’ corto per me, ma sembra davvero ben fatto. Anche esteticamente è molto piacevole.
   Non do’ 5 stelle solo perché il rest non entra bene nel foro, quindi ne ho acquistato uno adesivo a parte.
   E la corda ha iniziato a “sfilacciarsi” dopo un centinaio di tiri, ma per ora sembra reggere.
   Molto bello il borsone blu, con anche la tasca anteriore per vari accessori.
   L’unica pecca è che per il rest ci sia un solo foro invece di due, quindi non compatibile con tutti i tipi di rest.
   Sono invece presenti i due fori per il mirino (incluso, ma non lo uso) e uno per aggiungere uno stabilizzatore (non incluso).
   Nel complesso, sono soddisfatto.

   I got an amazing deal on this one with a $10 discount promo which is the reason I purchased it. I’m really enjoying this bow and it works very well. For those who are complaining about no manual, it’s in the gallery of this listing. Those who are familiar with takedown recurves shouldn’t need the manual and already know how to set one up. # Pros – Take down works great. – Great price for a very well made bow. – Standard tapped locations for sights, arrow rest, and front stabilizer. Some folks mentioned “no area to install a sight”, either they changed the design and have added them since or those customers have no idea that it’s there already. – Metal riser is well made and has rubber grips. – Limbs are built well and mine came all black without the logo. # Cons – None. # Would like to see – Include the print out manual from the listing gallery so customers don’t complain about not getting a manual. This really isn’t an issue for me since I already knew what to expect however it’s a con for TopArchery since customers are going to troll and write negative reviews. – Include a bow stringer. Again, not an issue for me since I already have one. # Notes – I got the 50# and it’s awesome. I think I like the 50# recurve better than my 55# compound. It’s a toss up. Always take 2 bows on a hunting trip. The recurve is easy to restring so if by chance something like a broad head slices the string, it can easily be restrung. Great additional bow just in case the compound fails. – I might get the 40# since I really like this bow. – The 1x thick plastic washer that people have mentioned seems to not be used for this setup. Not sure why it’s included. Based on the manual (gallery photo) it’s not displayed in step 1. – I’ve attached photos of my setup.

   Very nice for the price, and shoots very well. The bow has reasonably good quality parts and good workmanship, although it could have been better.
   From the pictures, I was expecting it to come with a stringing aid, but it did not. A rudimentary bag to keep the disassembled bow (that can double as a quiver maybe) was included though.
   The riser is identical with the one from Mandarin Duck Phantom, but in this case the limbs have a padding that partly dampens the vibrations and make this bow less noisy.
