   I bought this to replace my centerpoint because I have serious Back problems and also shattered my wrist in a car accident years ago and now I have arthritis in it. Even though the centerpoint is extremely accurate the weight of the bow was causing me issues with trying to hold it caused to much pain in my wrist and carrying it over my shoulder caused to much back pain. This Wicked ridge Commander m1 does the job perfect !! Am extremely pleased with the accuracy and the accu draw is just what I needed for my back. It takes little effort to cock it now I have to go out and make it pay for itself!!

   The crossbow works fine, but Tenpoint will void the warranty if you use any other company’s nocks. Tenpoint’s lighted nocks are far inferior to Lumenocks. Will be buying 2 of another brand of crossbow for my teenage grandkids to hunt with.

   I’m somewhat experienced when it comes to crossbows, mainly due to owning and shooting one for many years. That being said, my experience is limited to the one crossbow I have owned, so my evaluation of this Wicked Ridge is based on a comparison with my Barnett Quad Edge. Pros: + Very solid construction which feels more sturdy overall than my Barnett. Despite having a 2″ shorter stock, it shoulders just as quickly as my Barnett, but that also makes it possible for my wife to use it, whereas my Barnett is too big for her. + There is a narrower overall profile thanks to the limbs, while managing to shoot a good 30fps faster than my Barnett. + I don’t expect much from a scope that is provided with a product, but the included one is actually very clear, with a good reticle, and excellent eye relief. The flip up rings are a nice touch, and they stay secure. Another nice touch is that it comes pre-sighted at 20yds and that is dead on. + The kit is complete with everything you need to get started, the carbon bolts are nice as is the included quiver that mounts to the rail on the bottom. + The inclusion of the ACUdraw cocking device is a huge sell and it works perfectly, making drawing your bow a piece of cake. Being able to neatly store the handle in the stock when you’re done is great, and the entire thing amazingly manages to be rattle free. + Shooting it is just like my other crossbow, though the added weight seems to help absorb some of the snap when firing. + The safety is easy to thumb, and getting a good cheek weld is as natural as shouldering a rifle. Cons: – The foot stirrup is really narrow and nowhere near as nice as the one on my Barnett. It isn’t as big of a deal thanks to the built in cocking mechanism, but that is an annoyance. – This isn’t necessarily a con so much as a consideration, but it is much heavier than my Barnett, though that’s definitely due to the sturdier stock whereas the one on my Barnett feels more hollow in a way. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this crossbow. It is sturdy, shoots well, and came with everything necessary to start shooting right away. It would have been nice if a sling was part of the package, but I realize that’s asking a bit much, and considering the price I think this is an excellent bow. I’ve been using mine for some time now and it has been completely problem free, and an absolute pleasure to shoot. If you’re considering a crossbow, whether you’re a new shooter or upgrading, I think this one is worth serious consideration.

   Haven’t had the chance to use it yet, but am impressed with this crossbow. Fit and finish is great! After assembly I cocked it just to see how well the cocking device worked—Wow, super easy ! Even decocking wasn’t too hard. Think I’m gonna like it just fine, overall.

   I’m in my 70s and too darn old to pull and hold my compound bow with confidence. I couldn’t justify the top tiered crossbows because honestly if I have a good bow hunt I may only pull and release once or twice and the jobs done. Got to save something for rifle season 🙂 I found that this crossbow to be effortless in cocking and the smooth trigger was much better than expected. With only a few scope adjustments I had a tight grouping at 35-45 and 50 yards. The cranking system is easy as stirring a bowl of pancake mix.
