Well bought this crossbow was planning on practice shooting with the wife and her new bow. First off this was my first crossbow to buy so I’m just learning. The package arrived in a timely manner and I got it together without to much fuss, let me say it looks great and I have high hopes going down the road with it. I lubed the rail and let it sit several days before firing. First shot at my bone collector target and what happens, the arrow retention spring breaks, so I was shocked, I fired all three bolts that came with it and all three bolts are now unusable, they completely got trashed, one got stuck in a tree that I had behind the target and completely broke as I tried to pull it out the other two went through the target all the fetchings got ripped off and I only found one of the tips. So I am buying another retention springs and new bolts to try again. I understand maybe cause I am new some of this is my doing but I don’t know

1st. I’ve seen a ton of negative reviews, mainly towards the string breaking. For me, I waxed up my string for 2 days before I ever shot it. Ive had no issues with the string, mainly because I did that.
2nd. Only issue is when you pull the string back it can get caught on the arrow retention and break that. It is cheap and very thin plastic. Do fix that I ordered a piledriver carbon Xpress arrow retention. It was $15 and it is built thick and tough.
But for $150+$15 arrow retention, this bow if very fast, very accurate and 85% cheaper than any other bow that does the same!
5 ⭐ most definitely

The 380 looked great out of the box, looks like it’s built very nicely, and against a few other reviews that I read I decided to give it a shot, but I guess you get what you pay for. Bow shot AWESOME after set up, a lot of power, accurate. Shot the bow a total of 8 times siting it in and the last 3 shots I split bolts at 30 yards. Was very excited over it, got in my stand to hunt with it 2nd day of bow season, and it made a loud snap right in my face and the whole bow bounced. Low and behold the left limb has a giant crack down the center. It’s a shame because I actually had high hopes for this bow considering the way it shot to sight it in. First hunt with it and it snapped.

This is a great product but before you use it heat it up with a blow dryer so everything was stretch out real nice that nothing snaps that’s my suggestion make sure you wax the string really good powerful but it ain’t like what the commercials say cuz when you look at the commercial on this it’s a totally different product the stock is on retractable but this one and it’s the same one that I’m talking about this one had a plastic stock so I liked it but that disappointed me that advertising false advertisement but it still works great

Like: Easy setup and great accuracy. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
I have see negative reviews on limb breakage and string failure. You have to follow the instructions for setup, string preparation, and string maintenance explicitly (tighten everything appropriately). No shortcuts with friction points and tensions like this.
If you follow the directions, this is an excellent crossbow for the money.
UPDATE 2024: Took my first deer in Ohio with this rig. Deadly accurate at 38 yards. Deer only went 20 yards and was done. The crossbow did its job perfectly.
As I said earlier, FOLLOW THE RAIL AND STRING LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS. This seems to be where the system could fail. You have to lube the rail every 4-5 shots. The string should be generously lubed before each shooting/hunting session and before being stored for any amount of time.
You WILL go through the rail/string lube if you are doing it correctly.

I have hunted with a crossbow a long time. Bow was assembled correctly, lubed, and never dry fired. Sighted it in in less that 10 shots. Bow was very accurate and fast. Took a deer with it even. A week or so later, I cocked it and went to my stand. When I pulled the bow up I felt something sharp. Looked and one limb was splintered and the other had cracks. Was less than 30 days and 30 shots.
